Why Enroll in UCSC Climate Courses

These courses are designed to go beyond the classroom, connecting research, policy, and community engagement to create meaningful impact.

Students at UC Santa Cruz benefit from a unique blend of scientific research, sustainability innovation, and social justice advocacy, gaining insight into how climate change affects ecosystems, economies, and communities—especially those most at risk. By working alongside faculty experts and community partners, students can participate in art, writing, research, data collection, climate modeling, policy making, and environmental justice initiatives that make a real difference.
